This was an entertaining story full of family, faith and generations. The two main characters, Jessica and Ridley, had painful pasts to deal with, lots of baggage. There was also interspersed tidbits of Jessica’s great grandfather as he dealt with the Great Depression and family issues. Jessica’s mother gave Jessica a Bible that belonged to him with his personal notes, underlined scripture and family history.
This brought a special meaning to the whole story with both generations represented. It was refreshing in how the author brought out the spiritual aspects and how each character used that to let God once again work in their lives, both past and present.
New beginnings are always possible when God is allowed to lead.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author through the publisher but was not required to write a review, positive or otherwise.
