This was a time slip novel separated by 50 years. It was all centered around a house in Florida lovingly named the Memory House. In the 1950s Everleigh finds herself happily married to Rhett until a deadly tornado hits Texas. Her world falls apart.
Beck Holiday in present day, is a New York City cop chasing the bad guys until she does something out of character and gets suspended for a month.
They each must learn to live their lives in spite of memory obstacles. Everleigh doesn’t want to continue her life and forget about Rhett. Beck has lost all memory of her father and her life with him after he was killed in the North Tower on 9/11. Although decades apart they both find themselves surrounded by the beauty and mystery of the Memory House. It’s a beautiful story of how two separate lives intersect within this house and how it changes both of their futures.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher through Celebrate Lit but was not required to write a review positive or otherwise.
