The story was a good read full of murder, robbery and arson. There were numerous interviews during the course of the story trying to find the culprit. Worthington Investigations was called in to find the murderer of Christopher’s father. Shauna, Jillian, and Ava each have different positions within the investigation team. Jillian is the computer researcher, Ava is a crack interrogator and Shauna, out of military service, is learning about interviewing along with body guarding those in danger. God is at the center of their work and they rely on him completely.
A lot of their investigation involves a local Indian group that has had a land dispute with the murder victim. Christopher keeps feeling eyes on him at various times. Car chases ensue, fires are deliberately set and bombs are thrown through windows. Lots of action to keep you on the edge of your seat. And wow, just when you think it’s all been figured out....watch what happens! Oh yes, and there’s a touch of sweet romance too. This was a new to me author and I enjoyed the story and I hope others do too.
I received a complimentary e-copy of this book from the publisher through Celebrate Lit but was not required to write a review positive or otherwise. All opinions are my own.
