Ms. Walsh releases Just Let Go, following the events of Just Look Up.  Set in the small town of Harbor Pointe, Michigan, the novel focuses on Quinn Collins as she achieves her lifelong goal of owning her mother’s former flower shop.  She has much to prove to herself, the town, and the mother who left years ago.  Fortunately, Quinn has a plan to seek out her mom’s attention at the state’s flower competition, by entering her design for Harbor Pointe’s Winter Carnival.  Olympic skier Grady Benson arrives in town on his drive to Colorado, never expecting that a confrontation in the town’s diner would lead him to mandatory community service, stranding him in the middle of nowhere without a ski lift in sight.  When the town’s judge insists that Grady help Quinn, they are both opposed to the idea.  However, their time together reveals truths about both of their lives and the changes that they must make to move forward.

Ms. Walsh writes a heartwarming story that shows her continued growth as an author and storyteller in the Christian fiction genre.  Harbor Pointe and its townspeople will capture readers’ imaginations in this second volume set in the town.

Overall, I really enjoyed reading Just Let Go!  Personally, I found this novel to be the strongest of Ms. Walsh’s books that I have read so far, as it has a much tighter plotline that makes it flow seamlessly from beginning to end.  Ms. Walsh also expertly captures the town of Harbor Pointe and its quirky characters, who are honestly half the fun of this story.  Quinn and Grady also make for compelling major characters, even as they seem somewhat similar to lead characters in other books in the genre. While I had mixed feelings about Just Look Up, the strength of Just Let Go is such that I am definitely looking forward to seeing what Ms. Walsh writes next, especially if it is set in Harbor Pointe!

Special thanks to Tyndale House Publishers and NetGalley for the complimentary copy of Just Let Go!  Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
