I want to give this one six stars, not five. That’s how much I enjoyed reading it. Descended Aaro is book three in the series by Dana Pratola and I must say the entire series is growing on me more and more. In fact, after reading ‘Aaro’ I had to go back and re-read the first two books – ‘Jett’ and ‘Sebastian’. Having done so, I’d officially call myself a fan and can’t wait for the fourth (and presumably the last) book.
Aaro is probably the most likeable ‘superhero’ in the series so far. He and the others are part of an angelic race (but they are NOT angels they are quick to point out) whose purpose is to help humans in need, especially victims of sexual abuse. The series has its premise in the paranormal, there is plenty of action and intrigue as the ‘brothers’ carry out their vigilantism, and there is a very strong evangelistic element, but make no mistake that romance rules. The ‘descended’ are destined to only one mate and in this book Aaro meets his while finding a serial killer on the loose and teaming up with the others to rid the world of yet another psycho. These are deliciously steamy stories, somewhat edgy for Christian fiction with a mild language warning, but still tasteful in my view. If you haven’t read the whole series I would recommend starting with Book one and so on.
