100 Extraordinary Stories for Courageous Girls by Jean Fischer

I don't think I can say enough great things about this book! Geared toward young girls ages 8 and up but encouraging for older women like me. One hundred women are featured from the Bible, history, and to present day. I recognized many but also learned about women I had never heard about. Each is a one page biography along with a drawing of the person and scripture at the bottom relating to their story and also to inspire those reading. Some of my favorite women were included like Elisabeth Elliot, Ruth Bell Graham, Annie Armstrong, Joni Eareckson Tada, Florence Nightingale and Mary mother of Jesus.
These are perfect for one a day devotions. Short but with enough "meat" to think about and chew on until the next day. I'm excited about how this book could encourage many young girls and I'm planning on telling many of my friends with girls and grandgirls to buy it for a gift. My copy will be going to my 8 yr old granddaughter!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
