He Fails Us Not

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wY2xkSCK7MI

I figured today would be a great day to share a song I've had in my favorites list for the last week. It's called "Fail Us Not" from the band 1000 Generations. It's a song that simply talks about God never failing us, but I think it sums up nicely where I'm at today and what today… Continue

Trash The Dress!

Months ago, our good friend and acclaimed photographer, Rhiannon Teaters, approached my wife and I and said she wanted to do a photo shoot… Continue

A Novel Ebook Price

After doing some research, I decided to drop the ebook price of my latest novel, Black Earth: End of the Innocence, from $7 to $2.99. I've come to notice recently that $2.99 seems to be a pretty popular price for… Continue

Everything's Coming Together...

It's been a doozy of a month so far. My editor and close family friend was just released from the hospital yesterday after having a double mastectomy. She's doing remarkably well! :) Before she went into the hospital, she managed to finish editing the second book in my Black Earth… Continue

The Scope Of Impossibilities

For a while now, I've spoken on this blog of impossible things. God has carried my wife and I through a year of financial miracles, surprising us every month and drawing those around us closer to Him. Walking this journey has done more than just pay the bills. It's opened my eyes… Continue

Adding Audio To The Mix

Being a self-published author, I'm in charge of all of my own marketing and promotion. I am the sole individual responsible for aiming this franchise in the direction I think it should go in regards to social marketing, advertising, networking and project… Continue

The Headaches Of Time Travel

When I first wrote some of the plot for my Expired Reality series, I included time travel because I thought it would be fun to experiment with. I grew up as a huge fan of Back to the Future, really got into the Terminator series, and I even took a decent interest in… Continue

The D Word

Funny Wedding Photos - Prepping Him for the Rest of Their Lives

Today is my five year wedding anniversary. Someone told me that the element of this landmark occasion is wood. Wood? Really? I think I'll head down to the local Toys R Us today and buy my honey a set of Lincoln Logs. Those are made of real wood, right?

It's our five year anniversary, for crying out loud! Five years of blissful marriage. And when I say blissful, I don't mean we… Continue

Under Construction

Over the past seven years, I've been learning web design from the school of hard knocks. I've never taken any classes on website creation, nor have I received any formal training. It's been an ever volving practice and I have to admit I still feel like I'm behind the… Continue

Projects Galore

Whew! Been so busy lately, I think it's time to update everyone on the projects I'm currently working on. I used to have a monthly email newsletter that I sent out, but it was costing me money each month and I'd really rather use my blog to convey the same information. You can… Continue

Dimensional Characters

When I was first writing stories at the age of eleven, my characters were two-dimensional beings, mere skeletons with stereotypical cores. Fast forward. Now I'm thirty-one, and I've learned that characters can't be two-dimensional and bring a story to life. It's not… Continue

Free Ebook

I've come to the conclusion that not many people know what my latest novel, Black Earth: End of the Innocence, is all about. I know a lot of information can get lost online, so I figured I'd give a bit of… Continue

A Declaration Of Faith

For months I've blogged here and there on the journey my wife and I have been walking out, a journey that God set us on what feels like forever ago. Using a wrongful firing as an open doorway for me to make writing my full time career, God called us both out of our comfort… Continue

A New Writing Desk!

Recently, my dad decided to get himself an apartment. In the process, he realized he didn't have room for a desk he's had for over twelve years and so I, seeing an opportunity, requested to have said desk. My dad, as stubborn as he is, said I could 'borrow' it maybe for a year or two until he's able to get back into a house. Borrow has so many interpretations though. ;)

The desk....…
