Now that you have joined the Network you will want to make your page your own. Have some fun.
Here are some basic tips for the beginner.
First of all you can move the "boxes" around on your page! Put the activities at the bottom for example and move a text box or the comments to the top.

When my novel, Rain Song, made its debut, I was eager to promote it with the typical book signings at local stores. I arranged three events and enjoyed each one; people came and bought books. However, I wanted more, something unique, something to stand out. As one friend said, with a wry smile, "You want a following." I grimaced; that sounded lofty.
Rain Song is set in Mount Olive, NC and has quirky southern relatives who believe in tradition and…Continue

My friend, Angie Breidenbach made a good suggestion yesterday and I want to try to implement it. She said:

On May 20 we finally arrived at our new home in Kentucky. We love it here. I hope to connect with a writers' group soon. I live fairly close to author Kathy Cretsinger, and I understand Sandra Robbins is close by, too. We are still dealing with all the "just moved" details, but my office is mostly set up (haven't got all my research books out yet) and I'm back in business. I received several large print copies of my NH Heartsong "A New Joy." You can read about this book on my website's…Continue

I remember when I told my boyfriend I felt vulnerable in our relationship. Actually, I wrote the word in a note. He told me I'd spelled vulnerable incorrectly. How was I to know it had a "l" after the "u'? When I said the word, I never acknowledged that sound.
Seems as a missionary kid growing up with strange English being spoken and mixed with my own mother's made-up words and Southern phrases, I often was not sounding like a native speaker. To add to…Continue
