Review of JACOB'S BELL

“If I can gain the love and acceptance of my children after what I have done to them, I will never ask for anything else,” Jacob begs in John Snyder’s holiday tale, Jacob’s Bell: A Christmas Story.

Intoxicating Delight

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

When I first started reading this story I questioned where it was going as the first chapter was so factual in the beginning, but I just knew there had to be more. Once Maple Grove coffee shop owner Katherine “Katie” Montague is introduced as the storyteller Secrets of the Pastor’s Wife takes off in an intoxicating delight and…

Review of LOTS OF CHRISTMAS JOKES FOR KIDS

Lots of Christmas Jokes for Kids

Lots of Christmas Jokes for Kids is just the place to find good old clean and corny jokes that will have everyone around the Christmas tree snorting in the eggnog and giggling in their Christmas cookies,” Whee Winn writes in the introduction of his book.

Review of A SAVIOR IS BORN

A Savior Is Born: Rocks Tell the Story of Christmas

“I wondered if each rock was shaped over time for this very moment—to represent Mary or Joseph, an angel, or even our Savior,” Patti Rokus writes in the notes of her children’s book, A Savior is Born: Rocks Tell the Story of Christmas.

The Liberty Bride by Marylu Tyndall

I'm loving this Daughters of the Mayflower series, every single book! The characters in The Liberty Bride were realistic and believable. The war of 1812, where America was fighting for independence against Britain was front and center. Spies, cannons and muskets, oh my!

On the ship the Charlotte, Emeline soon found herself along with all the other passengers, captured by the British and put on board the HMS Marauder. She soon was used for her medical skills learned from helping her…

The Amish Midwifes Secret by Rachel Goode

From the very first chapter a secret was alluded to and grabbed my attention to where it was hard to lay the book aside to do mundane everyday things. I read whenever and wherever I could grab an hour or three.

I felt for both characters. Leah was a baptized Amish church member which restricted her somewhat in what she felt God was calling her to do, deliver babies. She also ran her family's herbal store and strongly believed in natural remedies.

Kyle was just finishing up his…

REVIEW OF AVALANCHE; PERIL IN THE PARK BY GAYLA K. HISS

This novel is packed with suspense, high adventure, murder, and romance.

Jenny Snowfeather is a park ranger in the Pacific Northwest. When she meets Deputy Marshal Chase Matthews, she soon learns he is in the area with a purpose far more sinister than a vacation visit to her brother, Joel.

I was intrigued by the mysterious events that came together to create a compelling story. The author portrays her characters well, establishes realistic relationships, and…

Faith Journaling books by Ellie Claire

I just received these three journaling books in the mail. How exciting! It's always wonderful to receive a real book as a gift. Something tangible that you can hold in your hands. Each is unique and beautifully done, and they make a fabulous set. Really thick covers with lots of pretty embossed detailing. The pages are thick coated paper, great for water color and other art supplies.
