She travels to Las Vegas for a visit, only to find her suspicions confirmed. Patrick has given in to an alcohol addiction and is headed down a dangerous path of destruction.

The Possible Police

Another great story from Leslie Gould!

I've come to really enjoy this series and have looked forward to the release of each book. Becoming Bea was no exception, I'm just sorry it is the last book in the series.

Book Review - Tears Of The Sea by MaryLu Tyndall (E-book)

Another wonderful tale from MaryLu Tyndall!

I really should have known better. I really should have. But nope. I sat down with my laptop to read only a few chapters of Tears Of The Sea. Just a few chapters of a MaryLu Tyndall book? Yeah right! I started late in the evening and after a bit told myself I would…

Driving Ms. Ane

The City of Sugar Hill is breaking ground for our community theater in the Spring! A couple of weeks ago while on a mission to visit theaters, I was reminded of when we first moved to Atlanta.

The hubs, as many of you know, is a Brit. Back then, his accent was stronger than it is now. The company he worked for was moving his division from Southern California (see I was born a Southerner) to Atlanta.

As the division vice president, he had to announce the…

Mathia's Quilt

"The Doctor's Christmas Quilt" by Kathy Mathias is the story of Laura, a staunch Pro-lifer and physician who's views are tested when her daughter, Megan, a med student, becomes pregnant. Can she practice what she preaches? The author keeps the night of conception a little vague.  Alex, the self-centered and egocentric boyfriend, may have date-raped Megan or there may have been a lot of begging and pleading with a little coercion.  The lines can get blurry, and this one is blurry. Leaving…

Review of OUT OF THE DUST

Out of the Dust: Story of an Unlikely Missionary (Free eBook Sampler)

“Only God. Only God, who brings beauty from ashes and hope from despair. And only God could bring me out of the dust of childhood abuse and into a life of serving other victims of the unspeakable,” Avis Goodhart writes in her book, Out of the Dust: Story of One Unlikely Missionary.

About Reading

I usually have three or four books I alternate reading at the same time. Depending on my mood and what time of the day it is I'll pick up a different book in progress. I don't read disturbing plots before I go to sleep. I am more inclined to read self-help in the morning so I  can think on it all day.

When I can't get into a book I'll put away all the other books and…

Review of HOW CAN I POSSIBLY FORGIVE?

How Can I Possibly Forgive?

“When we aren’t willing to forgive others, we have a harder time understanding God’s forgiveness and his grace toward us. That understanding helps us realize the importance of depending on him instead of depending on ourselves,” Sara Horn writes in her book, How Can I Possibly Forgive? Rescuing Your Heart from Resentment and Regret.
