A group of Amish women of all ages meet year round to make quilts for charity. They quilt, share problems and joys, and of course eat.

The youngest of the group, Clara Rose, is planning her wedding. She's known her groom for a long time but why does her best friend Obie, tell her not to marry him but doesn't give a reason?

Newly widowed Mariana Miller has just discovered she is pregnant with her husband's babies, twins no less! She is put on bed rest and worries about how she is going… Continue

A Dangerous Legacy – Elizabeth Camden (5 Stars)

In A Dangerous Legacy, Lucy Drake pursues justice for generations of her family, who have been plagued by an ongoing legal battle over her grandfather’s invention.  While her uncle’s family gains a fortune from over-pricing a water valve, Lucy hopes that one day the price will be lowered to allow it to be used to bring fresh water to the poor living in tenements.  Without a fortune to her name, Lucy works as a telegrapher for the Associated Press, where she puts her skills to the test…

In the Law of Moses, people were expected to avenge those who did not follow the law. Some things were even punishable by death. But Jesus told us to forgive people so that God, in turn,…

The Beloved Christmas Quilt by Wanda, Jean & Richelle Brunstetter

This was truly a heartwarming story. Written by three generations of the same family about three generations of a fictional Amish family made it extra special. One quilt given in love transfers to three generations over a periods of years in three novellas.

What impressed me about the first novella, Luella's Promise by Wanda Brunstetter, was the fact that even though Louella and Atlee loved each other they were unwilling to go against her parent's desires for them not to marry. They had… Continue
