The Promise of a Letter by Kathleen Fuller

I really enjoyed this story! It was different from most Amish fiction stories I've read. The main female character, Leanna, likes working on motors. Clocks, washing machines, engines, anything with running parts can't stump her. She works until she figures out the problem. Her family would rather she be the typical Amish woman and cook, sew and garden but that just wasn't who she was.
