I started writing Christian fiction 23 years ago.  The genre was still very new, but I knew that I had something to say, and I wanted to be able to tell stories that could help people see the world differently and develop a relationship with Jesus.

I finished my first novel, The Fourth Kingdom in 1989, but I could not find a publisher.  In 1997, I finally sent it to a Christian publisher who told me that they loved it but wanted some major rewrites of the second half…

Reviews

I was on the chat the other night and mentioned that I write reviews and do blog appearances for authors. A couple people mentioned they would like to take me up on it, but we never connected (it was late, and I admit, I rushed away).

So for anyone interested, please contact me at donnabasinow@yahoo.com, or post a comment on my blog at

D

Danger At The Door by Michelle Sutton had just the right mix of suspense, romance and ‘steam’.  As someone who doesn’t normally read a lot of straight up romance, I couldn’t put this one down. I found myself reading well into the night, and that’s no lie! It’s the story of a grieving woman who has become paranoid in her fears since her fiancé was killed in a car accident. She refuses to go anywhere, orders in all her food and other necessities, and won’t see anyone  – until  a…

SELL MORE BOOKS - Really!

Sell More Books – Book Marketing and Publishing For Low Profile and Debut Authors – Rethinking Book Publicity After the Digital Media Revolutions. There it is. The complete title, including subtitles. Why on earth would anyone want such a long title, anyway?  Well, for the answer, read this book! In fact, read this book for every other reason you can think of to address the myriad of questions that the title raises, because - pardon the cliché – this really is a must read for…

The Queen by Steven James (A review by Fred St Laurent)

The Queen, Bowers Files Series #5 - By: Steven James Latest in the Patrick Bowers series by Steven James is the best yet!

I am lucky enough to be married to a women who reads voraciously and happens to know many authors. A couple of years ago Nora happened to hand me a copy of The Pawn by Steven James. She knows me well and understands that I cannot resist a good detective novel. I am captured by thrillers, mysteries and lawyers fighting in the court room stories.

From the very first chapter of Steven James'…

Writing about Romance

This newest WIP (work in progress) is a lot more about finding love than my first book.

I am a romantic soul that gets pretty giddy about love, for me or anybody else.  I adore the little looks that happen between people when the sparks start to…
