Scripture for Tuesday, August 29 (8/29)

The scripture for today, August 29 (8/29), is Matthew 8:29 as found in the New Testament of the Bible:

" 'What do you want with us, Son of God?' they shouted. 'Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?' "

If you are not familiar with this passage, these are the words of a demon. If you have ever studied demons in the Bible, you will find that they never tried to spook or scare people. They never made dishes…

Abiding Mercy by Ruth Reid

This novel grabbed me from the beginning. An eighteen month old child is kidnapped in a stolen car and the mother knocked out. Follow two different lifestyles from chapter to chapter. Roslyn and her husband are depicted over a fifteen year period as they search for their kidnapped child Adrianna. Every other chapter follows Faith in her small Amish community. Both of these lives go through problems and disappointments but they handle them in such different ways.

I love the realization even… Continue

Beneath Copper Falls by Colleen

I enjoy reading books by Colleen Coble and this one was the most suspenseful I've read to date. There were so many elements to what was going on and accidental deaths seemed just that at the beginning. But so much more was happening underneath the surface, no pun intended! I was totally shocked at who the perp was and what he had done for years. He had a really warped mind and his reasoning was off the wall. Not to give anything away but you'll be shocked too!

Heart pumping, breath holding… Continue
