The D Word

Funny Wedding Photos - Prepping Him for the Rest of Their Lives

Today is my five year wedding anniversary. Someone told me that the element of this landmark occasion is wood. Wood? Really? I think I'll head down to the local Toys R Us today and buy my honey a set of Lincoln Logs. Those are made of real wood, right?

It's our five year anniversary, for crying out loud! Five years of blissful marriage. And when I say blissful, I don't mean we… Continue

Under Construction

Over the past seven years, I've been learning web design from the school of hard knocks. I've never taken any classes on website creation, nor have I received any formal training. It's been an ever volving practice and I have to admit I still feel like I'm behind the… Continue

Siri Mitchell's Love's Pursuit

On my trip to Canada I took with me Love's Pursuit. This would be the second time I would read this book. And it was worth every minute. I generally don't reread novels, but the depth and insight in

this story made a second read a complete delight.

If you love historicals with great depth of character and incredible insight, then read this. I am elevating it to the level of Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers in my stack of favorite…

Projects Galore

Whew! Been so busy lately, I think it's time to update everyone on the projects I'm currently working on. I used to have a monthly email newsletter that I sent out, but it was costing me money each month and I'd really rather use my blog to convey the same information. You can… Continue

Happy to be Here

I'm very happy to be a member of this exciting new community of Christian writers and readers.

My novel A TIME TO... is self-published as an ebook and an audiobook I read. I plan to publish a paper edition as well. It is the story of a risk manager who is taken on a metaphysical journey just before his pending death. When he returns from his spiritual adventure, he discovers that love, faith, hope & charity have all been mysteriously renewed in his life in…

Dimensional Characters

When I was first writing stories at the age of eleven, my characters were two-dimensional beings, mere skeletons with stereotypical cores. Fast forward. Now I'm thirty-one, and I've learned that characters can't be two-dimensional and bring a story to life. It's not… Continue

Paradise Found

As a closed captioner for television, sometimes the news can be overwhelmingly depressing. As I look at the oil spill in the Gulf, the missing child in Portland, Oregon, and the ongoing wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the world appears cruel and heartless. If it bothers me, as sinful as I am, I know it must grieve our heavenly Father.

So today I am reminding myself of the heavenly home that…

A Declaration Of Faith

For months I've blogged here and there on the journey my wife and I have been walking out, a journey that God set us on what feels like forever ago. Using a wrongful firing as an open doorway for me to make writing my full time career, God called us both out of our comfort… Continue
