Review of The Tomb: A Novel of Martha by Stephanie Landsem

I have spent the past few days immersed in the life of Mary, Martha, and Lazarus in Bethany during the time of Jesus life. That is the wonder of Biblical fiction, and Stephanie Landsem delivers her works set in this era with perfection.

The Tomb: A Novel of Martha, is the third in the Living Water series. This particular story centers around the life of Martha, the well-known Biblical character whose life is fraught with worry and busyness. In this novelized…

Review of THE BUNNY SIDE OF EASTER

The Bunny Side of Easter

“Hal, you are Hallelujah Bunny, a good name indeed. You’ll be the Easter Bunny, it’s now decreed. You loved someone else better than yourself. Instead of running away, you put your fears to stay and pray,” Hal is told in Linda W. Rooks’s children’s book, The Bunny Side of Easter.

Review of ELLIPSIS: DUAL VISION

Ellipsis: Dual Vision

“One aspect of an image may provide the complimentary content to another, revealing a truth that only exists in the space between the two selected images. I selectively and subjectively juxtapose photographic information and propose a new reality,” Stephen Posen explains in the afterword of his book, Ellipsis: Dual Vision.

Poll and Four Book Giveaway

In this world that often feels controlled by social media, authors tend to feel like they have a built-in platform or audience. However, several recent articles I read have indicated that self promotion via social media does not work.

Because writing and selling books is my business, I thought it was time to do some research as to where inspirational romance readers found their reading material.

How did you discover the last book you…

A Horse for Kate (Horse & Friends #1) by Miralee Ferrell

Kate has lived in Spokane, WA where she took horseback riding lessons, and hoped to someday own her own horse. Her father's job required the family to relocate to her former grandparents' farm in a small community, but a horse wasn't within the family's budget. Kate befriended a neighbor girl,…

I have to start off by saying that I LOVE Mary Connealy's stories! Each successive book just seems to get better and better. Her books are funny and so much fun to read. As anticipated Tried & True was a great story!…

Book Review - The Crimson Cord by Jill Eileen Smith

WOW!

What a powerful rendition of the story of one of the Bible's most famous women.

This book is a hard one to review. Not because it isn't good, but because there is just so much in this special story that it's hard to highlight only a little bit. As I read…

Book Review - Taken by Lisa Harris

Danger! Romance! Paris!

I got hooked on Lisa Harris's suspense with her Southern Crimes series and I had no idea she also did Love Inspired Suspense, which I also enjoy, until I got the chance to read Taken. It was a wonderful, wild, ride of danger and mystery set in the City of Light.…

Book Review The Creole Princess by Beth White

Spies and romance in the sultry South!

This book had a bit of a slow start and I began to wonder if it would wind up being the typical historical romance, heavy on the fluff and light on the history. But I couldn't have been more wrong. The Creole Princess took off in directions I never expected, directions that belie the pretty pink cover.…

Review of BATTLE OF THE GRANDMAS

Battle of the Grandmas

“That’s it! I’ve had it! I can’t play with all this stuff, or even try to wear it. It would make me much happier to find someone to share it. I don’t want the presents, toys or sweet candy; I only want my grandmas to spend time with me,” the little girl explains in Anthonette Klinkerman’s children’s book, Battle of the Grandmas.

Review of FROM THE START

From the Start (Walker Family Book #1)

“Nearly all of it spent in Colton’s company. When she wasn’t with him, she was writing about him. Or trying to. Hard to write a book, though, when you were falling for its main character,” Kate realizes in Melissa Tagg’s novel, From the Start.

From the Start - Melissa Tagg (5 Stars)

From the Start continues Melissa Tagg’s stories of the Walker family of Maple Valley, Iowa, who are first introduced in the e-novella, Three Little Words.  Kate Walker, the older sister who keeps the pulse of the family, struggles with her career as a screenwriter and novelist in Chicago.  When news reaches Kate of a devastating tornado that strikes the heart of Maple Valley, she rushes home to help her family rebuild the town.  Unbeknownst to Kate, her older brother and his…

Wonderful debut novel of a story of forgiveness!

This is an amazing read of how powerful and life changing God's forgiveness can be. The character development is so strong, that the reader truly feels the emotions of the journey they take learning the lessons God so graciously teaches them. I loved the writing style, and the message of love and faith is incredibly powerful. This is one of those books that hits straight at the heart. I highly recommend this read for adult readers...especially anyone struggling with something in the past or… Continue

Crossroads, A Miller's Creek Novel by Cathy Bryant

The description of this book at the top of the page is sufficient. I will not repeat it or add information that could lead to spoilers. Cathy Bryant has created two very strong characters who are each struggling with difficult circumstances. Each at a crossroads in life, they are forced to make…
