The Making of "Wisdom Hunter" by Randall Arthur (7-part series)

The Making of Wisdom Hunter - Part II (By Randall Arthur)

The published writer - who critiqued my partial manuscript and told me it was worthless - kindly made a list of necessary "ingredients" that go into the making of a good novel. She gave me the list and said, "If you really want your novel to be published, then you will need to trash the manuscript you’re holding in your hands. You will need to start over at page one and write everything all over again. And don’t…

Peace Among the Chaos

There is so much going on in my life right now. I’m finding myself going in forty-eleven different directions. One of my nephews is getting married, another nephew just announced that he and his wife are expecting their first baby, and my only living aunt is in the hospital. I’m running with my granddaughter, filling in for the secretary at church so she can have a few days off… and trying to get a new novel in the hands of all of you who are asking for it. Not to mention all the marketing…

Review of THE SINGING QUILT

Tio would tell me I’m worthless – and idiota who can’t do anything right. But Abuela doesn’t seem to agree. And the people at the school are willing to at least give me a chance. What about You, God? What do You say about me?” Jolissa ponders in Kathi Macias’s novel, The Singing Quilt.

Review of DUTCH OVEN PIES

“Cooking pies in a Dutch oven is amazing because of how easy it is to control the temperature. All of the recipes in this book were designed for a ten-inch Dutch oven or a ten-inch cast-iron skillet,” Matt Pelton explains in his book, Dutch Oven Pies ~ Sweet & Savory.

Review of ASTONISHED

“We can know God but can’t ever fully figure Him out. And so we walk by faith and not by sight. As we do this, God gets bigger,” Mike Erre states in his fifth authored book, Astonished.

Dawnsinger a review

Dawnsinger is one of those books that draws you in and won’t let go. It is definitely allegorical but not to the extent that it becomes cliché. Shae, the heroine, is whisked away to the Faeraven by her brother Kai, in service to the dying queen. An epic adventure ensues – too much to go into detail here, but suffice to say that it embodies the quintessential struggle between good and evil. I will be reading the sequel Wayfarer as soon as I can get my hands on it. After about…

Review of JESUS NOW

“Upon making this discovery, the Lord’s dear people will be faced with a decision: to answer the call of meeting around Jesus Christ alone in a way that He has prescribed, or to remain chained to the unmovable traditions of men,” Frank Voila states in his book, Jesus Now – Unveiling the Present-Day Ministry of Christ.

Review of THE WAITING

“I love you so much, my sweetest darling. I am only doing this for you. Please don’t think I’ve abandoned you.
