The Search For a Literary Agent

A few days ago I finished the second re-write of my third novel, The River Keeper. Now for the final read through. I love this part. To be able to simply read the story without fixing plot holes and grammar. On August 22, 2011 the first words were written. It took me one year and eight months to write and edit this novel. How do these famous authors spit out three and four new books a year?

I know these people are rich and have house cleaners and nanny’s to pick their…

Book Review - Swept Away by Mary Connealy

OK, so I wasn't sure I was going to like this book at first, I mean it looked and sounded like a light historical book without much substance. Well, I was definitely WRONG about that!

What I thought I was getting: Fluffy historical romance.

What I actually got: A wonderful western!

I will step on some toes and irritate a few people here, but I feel that generally speaking women can't write westerns very well. And so often Christian authors miss the boat, eerrr wagon, on…

Review: When Sparrows Fall

When Sparrows Fall is a beautiful, character-driven, debut novel by Atlanta author, Meg Moseley. Meg's website description of her novels couldn't be more accurate: "Realism, faith, and a funny streak."  Written with humor and poignancy, When Sparrows Fall is the story of a young woman's quest to reclaim freedom and safety, for herself and her…

The Struggle by Wanda E. Brunstetter

I just finished reading "The Struggle" and I loved it. It was very aptly named
because the characters in the book faced alot of struggles along the way. I
laughed and cried with them. I felt like I was apart of their families. It was a
story of unending love and forgiveness. The writing was excellent and I look
forward to reading more of her books!

Waiting For Morning by Margaret Brownley

Margaret Brownley is a newly discovered author for me but I love her writing.

The way Molly takes care of her wheelchair-bound brother Donny is remarkable.

Even though she feels guilt over his accident. Trying to learn how to run a

ranch and care for her brother is a full-time job but Molly is determined to do

both. Even more remarkable is the way Dr. Caleb Fairbanks treats her brother…
