A Twist of Fath by Pepper Basham

First of all, I love the cover of this book! Every time I see it I get a great big smile on my face. It has to be one of my all time favorite book covers. The story inside is just as amazing. A really feel good, heartwarming, happy tears type of book. I loved every single page.

The main female character, Dee, has lots of childhood baggage she's toting around. She has a PHD in speech language pathology (communicative disorders). She grew up in small town Appalachia and vowed to never go… Continue

Covered Bridge Charm by Diane Christner

This was a sweet Mennonite story. I must admit though, I had a hard time getting through the first few chapters. I wasn't used to the author's writing style and her use of words I didn't understand. After I really got into the story, I had a hard time putting it down.

The characters were very likable and well developed. Carly had a love of the elderly and went above and beyond her duty at the Sweet Life Assisted Living Facility where she worked. Not only staying many times after her shift… Continue
