I have been reading an older book about the book of Daniel, by Rev. Clarence Larkin. It is amazing the things you miss when reading. Each time I read it I learn something new. I also have his other books on Revelations. Marvelous reading.

Warring Spirits by April Gardner is superb. It’s one of those books that you really can’t put down once you’re into it. I read it in two days, basically picking it up whenever I had a spare minute – literally. It is the sequel to her novel Wounded Spirits, bringing closure to that book’s romance between a native man and a white woman, and introducing another unlikely pairing between an American soldier and a runaway slave. The series takes place in the early 1800s…Continue

My February calendar is filling up at an extremely fast pace, so much so that I am reminded of a phrase from the Rugrats cartoons that my kids used to watch: “Hold onto your diapies, babies!” Thank goodness for a calendar to write things on and keep close at hand!
This month is an exciting month for me. My first novel is coming out in print. It came out around…

I celebrated my 54th birthday this past Saturday. I’m hoping more inner wisdom will come with the added year. At least then I’ll have something better to show for living twelve more months than additional gray hair and a rounder middle.
This year I hope to pick and choose the most important things and discard the petty stuff I don’t enjoy doing. What’s really important in life? To me many things: My faith, family, writing, watching my only granddaughter grow up,…Continue
