Hi Wordsmith, That's a very nice site you have. I'm wondering about the name behind the magazine. I have family in Mena and didn't know about you until now. Brother Greg and wife Crystal are the owners of The Branding Iron. Maybe you'd like to email me and we can get more acquainted. lisa@lisawingate.com

WELCOME!! I'm SO EXCITED YOU ARE HERE!!  2012 is going to be a great BOOK FUN YEAR!! We are going to have more book giveaways, you’ll get to know more authors. Bethany house and B & H have some great featured authors this year and so does the group here called CAN (Christian Authors Network)

Check out the Book Club Pages. We have review sites, Book stores have put up pages, some of them are in the process of starting a book club, it just might be in your area. This is not a site you need to be on every day, but just check out parts of it when you can.

I LOVE Book club. I’m passionate about getting the word out about Christian authors and their books to book clubs. I think this could be a great for them to meet for each to learn from the other; authors from book clubs and book clubs from authors, I’ve seen that so far. It’s been fun to watch. We’ll see where the Lord leads us in 2012. We have many exciting opportunities lined up just for you. Book Clubs are about relationships with each other and with authors. It’s a win win!

Blessings to you
Nora

Review of The Dancing Master by Julie Klassen

Posted on February 10, 2014 at 5:00pm 0 Comments

It seems to me that there are various kinds of dancing in this story by Julie Klassen. Many of the characters in Beaworthy are “dancing around” issues that need to be revealed, but kept secret. The character displaying the dominant leader in this dance is Lady Amelia Midwinter who due to some mysterious reason has banned dancing from the village of Beaworthy. This woman…

Review of Grace's Gold by Mary Manners

Welcome to a new series of novellas by one of my favorite authors, Mary Manners. She's created a cast of characters that are full of life and faith, and a bakery that sounds delish! In "Grace's Gold" we meet sister Grace and her kindergarten age son, Adam.

Grace's life has been filled with love, but also with tragedy, Her parents died early in her life, leaving her…

Review of Lost in Lone Creek by Mary Manners

5 star read! A cozy, yet satisfying read!

“But if we hope for what we do not yet have, we wait for it patiently.” (Romans 8:25)

This verse takes on layers of meaning in relation to Lost In Lone Creek and the multiple relationships the story represents. Since this is the second in the series, I have to guess a bit on some of the finer details, but…

It’s 1775 and Betsy is young woman living in Massachusetts. While her mother may be teaching her to sew, she wants to learn how to protect the ones she loves. Because, even though no one will talk about it, Betsy knows a war is brewing with England and she wants to be ready when it finally comes. And she’s hoping that God will be on their side when it…
