Review of Too Blessed to be Stressed for Moms

This book could make you cry but it will definitely make you laugh! Reading "Too Blessed to be Stressed for Moms" is like finding a series of therapy sessions that have been bound in a 5" x 7" book that you can fit in your purse! I am past the "mother stress stage" but I remember how it was and I just wish that this book had been available when I was the mom trying to stay afloat. There is a Stress Test for Moms at the beginning of the book to help determine your level of stress and then the…See More

Review of Darkwater Secrets by Robin Caroll

Darkwater Secrets is the first book in a new series that revolves around the Darkwater Inn in New Orleans and it involves a murder that is committed at this well known inn during Mardi Gras. As the murder investigation gets underway we learn about the sometimes dark events that often occur during this famous carnival season. Voodoo, prostitution, sexual immorality, and a past sexual assault are all mentioned but author Robin Caroll writes wonderful Christian fiction so her plotline is never…See More

TERESA IRIZARRY

Teresa Irizarry is the author of Rekindled, a 17th century historical fiction. Her skills in writing and technical trouble isolation were gained in a corporate research setting. She learned how to deal with cold, snow and ice to race in the Iditasport, a 100 mile race in winter Alaska that she finished in the cycling division in 1999. She learned related history from her mother's genealogical research, pastors that taught church history at the college level in the Catholic and Baptist…See More

Review of Dead Drift by Dani Pettrey

Review of Dead Drift by Dani PettreyThere are some authors who never disappoint and some highly anticipated books that always live up to their pre-publication hype and Dani Pettrey and Dead Drift fit these descriptions perfectly. I am thrilled that this is the way that Pettrey has chosen to end the Chesapeake Valor series. Luke Gallagher has finally come home and he and Kate…See More

"What is your favorite way to celebrate New Year's Eve and New Year's Day?" This is the very first question in 'The Daily Question For You and Your Child' and what follows are 364 more questions meant to be discussed with your child or grandchild. The questions suggested range from general questions such as "What is your favorite snack?" and "What do you want to be when you grow up?" to those related to a holiday such as Easter, Halloween or Thanksgiving to "What do you know about Jesus?"…

My Review of Shadow Sister by Katherine Scott Jones

Posted on August 28, 2018 at 9:18am 0 Comments

There are so many reasons why I love this book. It is a beautifully written story that left me in suspense until the very end. Yes, it is filled with clues but there are also secrets and we readers are reminded that the secrets that we think will prevent hurt can actually cause the most pain. I assumed that the title was a reference to the relationship between Sarah and her older sister Jenna but now, as I write this, I believe that it was a feeling shared by both. Perhaps Jenna felt as much…
