STARTS DECEMBER 20th
BOOK BLURB: What are wealthy sisters for, if not to help younger sisters marry well? Five years have passed since Ariana Forsythe married the Paragon, Phillip Mornay. Now Miss Beatrice Forsythe is ready for a romance of her own. Who better to help her get it than her fashionable elder sister? But the Mornays are happily embedded in domestic life at their elegant country estate, and Beatrice despairs of ever getting her own come-out into society. When two eligible men appear on the scene, Beatrice thinks one of them is the answer to all her hopes--but is he? Two handsome gentlemen, one dark secret, one pretty girl and a huge country estate--can a country house courtship like no other be far behind?
ABOUT AUTHOR: Linore Rose Burkard grew up in New York City in a family of ten with parents who loved to read. Linore left home after high school and worked her way through college, graduating from the City University of New York with a magna cum laude degree in English Literature. As a fan of Jane Austen and Georgette Heyer, Linore dreamed of bringing the regency to life in a distinctly Christian fashion for readers of faith. That dream became a reality after Harvest House senior editor Nick Harrison brought her first novel, Before the Season Ends, to that company. Two sequels quickly followed, both published by Harvest House, and which helped cement the regency genre as a staple in Christian publishing.
Linore lives in Ohio, is married and the mother of five, and still homeschools one daughter. She writes YA/Suspense as L.R. Burkard, and has no end of new book ideas. Recent projects are the completion of Before the Season Ends, a Regency time travel, and is currently working on a traditional “Heyeresque” Regency romance and a movie project to bring the screenplay to life on the big screen!
Find Linore on the web at www.LinoreBurkard.com, or at the PULSE companion site at www.LRBurkard.com. She sends out a monthly newsletter for readers with book giveaways, news, and links. Sign up at either of her websites.

When I read a regency book I look fir2ard to being transpired back in time. I love reading about the clothes they wore, the grand parties they have and a bit of romance mixed in. Thank you for the chance to read the book and to be entered in the drawing for the quilt.
I am a Jane Austen fan. My favorite book is Pride and Prejudice, but Emma is a close second. P&P was my very first introduction to romantic literature and one of the very few books that I have ever re-read. Multiple times. I think I picked it up after watching the old B&W movie version as a teenager. It also inspired my love of witty romances.
Hi Linore, As I read a Regency I so look forward to feeling like I am part of the story as it is my favorite time period. Authors like yourself who achieve this are always at the top of my reading list.
Jane Austen was my favorite author as a child and still is over 50 years later. I always had one of her books checked out of the library when I was a kid, and I still remember the debate I had with the librarian of the actual order in which they were written. Through the years I have owned paperback copies of every book which my wonderful husband replaced with a beautiful hardcover set quite a few years back one Christmas. Picking a favorite Jane Austen book for me is impossible. Another author that it is impossible for me to pick a favorite is Lucy Maud Montgomery who’s books I read so much they finally fell apart and were recently replaced with digital copies.
Wishing you a joyfully festive holiday season, and a New Year of more 5 star reviews.
I love feeling that I am part of another time. All of the wonderful descriptions carry me to a whole new world.
I just love all the pomp and circumstance of the regency period. I love reading about the clothes and the parties. Their celebrations seem to have lasted for days!!!
This sounds like a fun book to reqd from a new to me author. Thanks for the chance to win.
Didn't realize I was supposed to let you know...please enter me in the drawing for book and quilt.
1. I love the romance, being in a different time period. :)
I haven’t read many regency type books but I’ve enjoyed the penned in time series by Pepper Basham. What I enjoy most is the romance and how it’s portrayed. It’s almost like you wink at someone and you have to marry them, LOL!
Please enter me for the book and the quilt.
1. I look forward to a time and culture I am not a part of! I love new experiences and "old time" historical information. It all seemed to proper!
