Here's to a win, my friend!
LOL!! Yes, I can, sweetie, because I was like that too. No wonder we are so much alike ...
Love you too!
Oh, goodness, my friend ... I cannot imagine losing a son or daughter. My heart grieves for your loss, and I am grateful for God's comfort in your life.
Oh, KATH, LOVE My Utmost for His Highest by Oswald Chambers!!! And Corrie Ten Boom is amazing!!
I've only read two of Julie's books. A Heart Revealed and A Love Surrendered and my favorite is.......
A Heart Revealed and A Love Surrendered...sorry I just can't pick a favorite from the two!
I would love to win one of these books to give away, cause I just have to keep my review copy.
Oh, JOY, if you are not just the CUTEST thing ever, seriously!! I love you to pieces and I don't even know you that well, but your spirit of encouragement and kindness draws me a like a moth to flame!! Thank your for your amazing support and precious friendship!!
I can't remember who first introduced me to reading but I would have say either my Dad or Nana since they both like reading and for as long as I can remember I have loved to read.
I remember one year for Christmas my Nana and Papa gave my brother and I flashlights in our stockings and my parents had to take mine away from me on several occasions because they would catch me up really late at night reading under the covers by flashlight. I also remember when my parents let me put a fish tank (with the light included) in my room at the head of my bed and when they would catch me staying up at night reading by the light in the fish tank.
I love reading fiction and most of the time when I am reading no one can have a conversation with me because I won't answer. I almost always tune everything out and can't hear what they say to me. It drives my husband nuts but most of the time I don't even know I am doing it! :)
SARAH!!! Oh, goodness, you're just as adorable as Joy in the comment above, girl!! LOL ... reading under the covers with a flashlight and by the light of the fish tank -- TOO CUTE!! What a WONDERFUL way to be "bad"!! ;)
Well, hopefully I can contribute to your delinquency with a win of my book, so GOOD LUCK, sweetie!!
Going to church and reading my scriptures makes me feel closer to God because it reminds me of his plan for me.
Oh, AMEN to that, SUSAN!!
GOOD LUCK and hugs,
So many books besides the Bible have influenced my walk with Christ.
"If You Want to Walk on Water You Have to Get Out of the Boat" by John Ortberg is one of my favourites. Through this book I learned not to fear as long as I listened to God and kept my focus on Jesus
"One Thousand Gifts" by Ann Voskamp brought me face to face with the knowledge that being in God's presence every moment of every day would keep me focused on Him. Ann's story and her blog inspire me to be thankful all the time. I still count my blessings and record them on my blog, Under the Cover of Prayer, every Friday.
Oh, JAN, I absolutely LOVE Ann Voskamp!!! Cried all the way through One Thousand Gifts!!
