BOOK BLURB: Lieutenant Owen Masters and Emeline Baratt meet on a British warship as sworn enemies. Where will Emeline place her loyalties when forced to spy against her country?

A brand new series for fans of all things related to history, romance, adventure, faith, and family trees.

War Forces a Choice Between Love and Country

A trip home from England to Maryland in 1812 finds Emeline Baratt a captive on a British warship and forced to declare her allegiance between the British and Americans. Remaining somewhat politically neutral on a ship where her nursing skills are desperately needed is fairly easy—until she starts to have feelings for the first lieutenant who becomes her protector. However, when the captain sends her and Lieutenant Owen Masters on land to spy, she must choose between her love for him and her love for her country.

Join the adventure as the Daughters of the Mayflower series continues with The Liberty Bride by MaryLu Tyndall.

ABOUT AUTHOR: Award winning and best-selling author, MaryLu Tyndall dreamt of pirates and sea-faring adventures during her childhood days on Florida's Coast. After obtaining a degree in Math and working as software engineer for 15 years, she decided to test the waters as a writer. With now more than seventeen books published, she makes no excuses for the deeply spiritual themes embedded within her romantic adventures. As a follower of Christ, her stories often reflect her own journey and walk with God. Her hope is that readers will not only be entertained but will be brought closer to the Creator who loves them beyond measure. In a culture that accepts the occult, wizards, zombies, and vampires without batting an eye, MaryLu hopes to show the awesome present and powerful acts of God in a dying world. MaryLu makes her home with her husband, six children, two grandkids, and three cats on the California coast, where her imagination still surges with the sea

1. Have any of you been sailing? If so what do you love about it? If not, do you want to sail the ocean blue? What kind of ship do you like best?

2. If you were to pick a city whose character best represents your own personality, which would you choose? Why?

3. If you could wake up tomorrow in your own bed, but in another place anywhere in the world inside and outside, where and what time period would you like it to be?

I went sailing in Mexico and it was great. I love being on the water. It was so relaxing. The one thing I would recommend is to have something that you can have shade from the sun.

I love being out on the water, but you're right about the shade!  Thanks for entering

I would love to try sailing. I don't know enough about ships to know what kind but certainly something large enough to handle the seas!

A cruise ship.. perhaps? LOL  I'm told you can't even fell the move of the sea. I got seasick once on rough waters while looking for whales.

I don't want to disappoint  you, but sometimes there are rough waters.  I've never been sea sick though.

Little House on the Prairie timeperiod.  I love family and being surrounded by family. I love workign with my hands, all working together for the common goal and the simple things in life.

Thank you for this opportunity to win a a book and the beautiful quilt.

in Him,

Cheri :)

It was definitely a simpler time, wasn't it?  I loved that show

Sailing?  I've only been sailing on an actual sail boat once around and through a bay in California, but I have been on many ocean cruises on ocean liners.  My husband and I really enjoy ocean cruises because they are very relaxing.   We like to visit other countries and like to just look at the water also.  Cruise days are great for reading books.

What Bay in CA? I live here. We've been out on San Francisco Bay, San Diego Bay and Monterey Bay

Newport in Orange County

Thank you so much, Deana!

Another me too, Deana! My 15-year-old granddaughter and I are loving this series.
