ABOUT BOOK:  "Not enough" is the theme of our day. Fear, scarcity, and inequality dominate the media cycle and are constant companions in our culture. While 74 percent of Americans believe in God, we can feel our world changing in ways that simply seem out of control. We want to cling to a sovereign and loving God who tells us repeatedly in Scripture to "fear not," yet it is estimated that nearly 90 percent of his followers have a scarcity mentality rooted in fear.

Five times in Scripture, Jesus showed us a pattern to deal with fear and how to access his abundant provision, both spiritually and practically. In The God Guarantee, Jack Alexander uncovers the four steps in this pattern, showing readers how to live it out in order to experience true abundance. Far from a prosperity gospel, this book is not about how to get rich quick, how to manage your money, or how to give it all away. Instead, it will change the reader's conversations about finances completely and, as a result, will transform the way they see and access God's provision in every single area of their lives.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not, for I am with thee; be not dismayed, for I am thy God. I will strengthen thee; yeah will help thee yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Hi Carrie,

Thanks for sharing your comments. I love that verse from Isaiah. One of the people who shared her story in my online companion course for the book stated that this verse got her through one of the most challenging experiences she had...being temporarily homeless. I think you would find her story inspiring. You can get details about the course at The God Guarantee site.

Thank you for your interest in The God Guarantee, my prayer is that the book and the 4-part of how God provides will be a great encouragement for you!

Blessings,

I would like to live in Scotland or some where near the coast (except the west coast). As for a book, I read Henry van Dyke's The Blue Flower repeatedly.

I combat fear with help from others, deep breaths and prayer.

Hi Sabrina,

I love the way that you lean into community and with prayer invite God into your fear to bring you to freedom. Well done! Community and Consecration are 2 parts of the 4-part pattern of God's provision that I outline in the book as our way of escape from fear.

Thank you for your interest in The God Guarantee, my prayer is that the book and the 4-part of how God provides will be a great encouragement for you!

I combat my fear by trying to force myself to face it head on. I also say prayers, give myself a pep talk, read up on whatever it is I am facing and give myself time to work up to whatever it is.

I combat fear by reading passages from the Bible on fear, praying and listening to Worship music. Sometimes my radio stays on 24/7 just to have those songs of comfort always there.

1. For I know the thoughts I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Jeremiah 29:11
2. I live in the greater Houston area, so this week I have dealt with the devastation of Harvey. I was blessed to come through the storm with no damage. I was blessed to weather the storm in total peace knowing throughout who my God is. God is in the storm.

1.I would have to agree with others who have listed Isaiah 41:10 as their favorite verse! To think I do not have to feat, because God Himself is holding me up in His mighty hand!
Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God

Just to remember that we don't need to worry because God never expects us to face anything alone.

2. That is hard to do! I have learned that it is just a  mind set - so I try real hard to change my mind and mentally overtake the fear to do what I need to do. Does it always work? No. :) But it has helped way more than I could ever have hoped.  (besides praying first and foremost, of course!!!)

4.  I've read The Seven Dials Mystery by Agatha Christie a few times.  I've reread some of her other books too.  I also like to reread Sherlock Holmes.  I enjoy reading Harry Potter and can skim through the books and reread interesting and favorite parts.
