As Christmas approaches let's share some Christmas stories. Other than a Bible, what was the best book you ever received as a Christmas gift? What made it special?

My answer would have to be The Innocent Man by John Grisham. It was special because the Oklahoma town where the story takes place is near by and I know ladies who were friends with the victim.

That's an easy one for me. When I was in 6th grade, my brother gave me Little Women for Christmas  and it changed my life. From then on I wanted to be a writer like Louisa May Alcott.

I honestly can't think of one book that changed me...except a book in Jr. High called Mara set in ancient Egypt. I wanted to be an archaeologist and after reading Mara, I decided I'd rather write about the past then dig!
