Mix historical fiction, Christian romance,

mystery and suspense with the city of

Chicago, Illinois in the year 1924.

We find Lacey Fairchild and her best friend

Patricia Hanover deciding to get with the times.

They bob their hair, shorten the hemlines

on their dresses and get ready to go out

on the town as flappers.

Peter Hanover is Patricia’s brother. He attends

divinity school. He is home on break. Lacey

convinced him to get a friend for Patricia and go

on a double date for a night of dancing at a

speakeasy. Off the couples go for a evening on

the town.

Patricia’s date, Mitch Ferguson and Lacey are

dancing. It is while they are dancing that three

Chicago mobster raid the speakeasy kidnapping

Patricia and killing Peter when he tries to stop

the mobsters from taking his sister.

Now Mitch along with Lacey decide to get involved

to find and rescue Patricia. That means they might

return to the speakeasy plus Mitch goes undercover

with the mobster to locate Patricia.

The story has well intentioned people and situations

that can produce negative or unexpected outcomes

but the strong spiritual elements always out shine

the negative eventually.

The cast consists of cleverly and artfully crafted

characters that are interesting and well defined.

The research on the time era was impeccable.

Read to discover what happens with Mitch, Lacey

and Patricia.

A Highly Recommended Book!!!

I volunteered to read Lacey and the Law. Thanks to

the author for the opportunity. My opinion is my own.
