This novella was nothing like what I expected but in a good way. The roaring twenties, 1924 to be exact, full of gangsters, flappers, corrupt police, mobsters and prohibition. The main character, Lacey, was young, rich and ready to experience life. Daring in that she cut her waist length hair into a short bob, hemmed up her long dresses to above her knees and snuck out at night with her best friend and two males to bars/dance halls that served alcohol. She was ready to experience whatever her sheltered life had hidden from her. And boy did she! Go along for the ride and encounter the roaring twenties for yourself.
I received a complimentary copy of this novella from the author but was not required to write a review positive or otherwise.
