The ornaments are a beautiful tradition. When they were growing up, I got each child an ornament to depict something from their lives that year. By the time they got married, they each had a start on their own Christmas decorations. Of course, my tree looked bare. LOL

Ever since my father passed away 36 years ago we’ve had my mother spend the night with us on Christmas Eve. That way she was not alone and got to enjoy Christmas morning with us and our kids. Since Jan this year she’s been living with us because of her health. She is now completely bedridden and under Hospice Care. That will affect our celebration.

Oh, Gail, I'm so sorry. It certainly will affect your celebration. I'm praying for you all.

Sadly for us but happily for her, she went to be with the Lord on Thanksgiving Day at 12 noon. She will be missed.
The holidays are different this year. I have an almost 20 year old dog that is going down hill fast. We got her around this time all those years ago. I have cried a lot of tears over her. I know that her days are numbered. I am glad she has been around this long but it is so hard to ler her go. It seems she has been with us through all the good times and the hard times. I know she is just a dog but to us, she is one of our children.

I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. We've had to see two of ours go within the last year. It's so hard. Praying comfort for you.

Thank you so much. I really do appreciate it.
She passed away this morning.

I'm so sorry, Deanna. Praying comfort for all of you. Our fur babies give us so much unconditional love.

Thank you for your prayers. That is so true.

3. I guess we aren't really all the big on traditions but we do look forward to putting up the Christmas tree and decorating it as a family. And watching all the old school Christmas movies and cartoons. Especially the claymation Rudolf and Frosty cartoons that I grew up with.
