ABOUT SAVING HOPE - Series: Men of the Texas Rangers | Publication Date: March 2012
ABOUT AUTHOR: Margaret has been writing for over 20 years. She started writing in the late 1970s because she wanted to see if she could put a whole story down on paper. That book is still in the drawer and will never see the light of day. But she was able to finish a book, which was her goal.
She decided after that to get some help, and joined a writers' roundtable where she met once a week with some fellow writers who went over each other's work. She sold her first book in the early 1980s and has been selling ever since.
She loves to tell a story. When she was a little girl she made up stories while playing with her dolls. On long trips with her family she would weave a story about the surrounding countryside. From those early beginnings grew a love of entertaining people with a story.
When she went away to college, she met her husband, Mike, to whom she has been married for over 30 years. He is her support and her best friend. She has always felt she was the luckiest woman the day she bumped into him on campus.
When they married, they moved to Tulsa, where she finished her degree in special education and began teaching. She still teaches today and loves working with students with special needs. They help her remember what is important in life. She also participates in the Special Olympics as a coach with her students and has attended the State Games in May for years.
Besides teaching and writing, she is also a mother of one. Her son, Shaun, loves animals and there have been times they could have their own zoo at the house. The most interesting pet Shaun has is a leopard tortoise, which could outlive him. She has joked that his children will be inheriting a tortoise. Shaun is getting married to his high school sweetheart. Margaret hopes that they are as happy as she and her husband are.

My hubby always fixes breakfast for us. He makes such awesome omelets and will usually make them and put different things in them as well as make home fry potatoes. This year my son might make the breakfast since he bought a waffle iron and loves to make waffles.
I Love omelets and home fries!!
Your all making me hungry now !!!
I make homemade waffles with fresh berries and whip cream!! Sure wish I had some berries this morning and I would make them :)
OHMYGOSH!! Sounds Yummy!
Blueberry muffins and cinnamon rolls are usually at the top of the menu.
This does sound Yummy Carmee!! My family and I usually have coffee or orange juice to drink. Then after we open up presents we eat a nice breakfast. Some years I cook breakfast, most the time my husband does. He's the chef at our house, I'm the cleaning crew!! Grin!
When it's my turn to cook. I need a recipe book. Last year I made something from Paula Dean's Christmas cookbook. I do collect Christmas and other holiday cook books and I like trying something new all the time. Another breakfast my family like was Apple Pancakes and Breakfast quiche, biscuits and grits! I can cook by the book. My husband is the kind of Guy that would do well on that cooking show CHOPPED!! Where you open up the basket and you don't know what is inside and you have to make something wonderful out of it!! Grin!
Not me. It would take me a hour to think of something to make!! I'd be Chopped before I started!! Grin!
usually have fresh donuts so we can get to the presents faster :}
Funny!! But so true!! Grin!
I'm so excited for Christmas! I'll make cinnamon rolls or allow my boys to get donuts; since it is a special occasion. Celebrating Christ birthday is an honor!
Very excited to see you have Margaret Daley books, so love her reading her stories because they are so good and she's so very nice.
Cinnamon rolls and Donuts!! Great combo!! at any time! Grin!
We normally have a big breakfast on Sunday morning although this is our first Sunday Christmas morning since my husband is a pastor and we have services that day so we may not have a big breakfast this year more of a brunch after services.
