This novel about a mystery in the Superstition Mountains in Arizona was very intriguing. I had never heard of a recovery specialist before but both male and female lead characters were in that business. Both had personal reasons to accept a job with a hefty payback and both were competitors in New Orleans.
Danger followed them as they searched for a stolen map that was supposed to lead to a lost gold mine. Legends, folklore and superstition were interweaved among the story. Danger also caused them to join forces and search together instead of competing with each other.
I loved these characters! They were very strong, determined and didn't give up in spite of the fact their very lives were in danger. Is love on the horizon for these two? Will romance even be a possibility among such dangerous conditions? And will the stolen map be located in time before their time runs out, literally?
I enjoyed reading this heart stopping story full of danger and intrigue!
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing and was under no obligation to post a review.
