The Spiritual Message of Captured by Moonlight

A GARMENT OF WHITE—by Christine Lindsay A beautiful white wedding here in the western half of the world is so much nicer than a white funeral in the eastern half. Our brides wear white on their joyous day. Our eastern counterparts wear white when someone they love dies. East and West—so different.  Yet, we all want the same thing—to experience the kinds of joy in life such as that which weddings bring. As a Christian, I’m looking forward to that day when Christ calls His followers home and we…See More

Christine Lindsay commented on Jessica Dotta's group Readers of British Historicals
"It's not light, quick read. This is a book you want to take on a holiday. There might be some of the historical sections that are too long, but the main part of the book is breathtaking. I still think of this book today."

"Oh yes, Jessica. I know very well what scene you are talking about. One of my other favorite scenes from that book was when the hero Ash had the heroine Anjuli on the back of his horse as they raced to escape. Ah, yes, now that's a book."

"Another of my favorite British lit is Far Pavilions and Shadow of the Moon by MM Kaye. She was huge in Britain in the last 50 years. She wrote epic blockbusters that are not Christian per se, but wonderful books, if you like nice, big, thick, epics…"

"Rochester is such a wonderful strong hero. So vulnerable and yet so masculine. And I love how Jane stands up for her Christian beliefs. So many secular readers totally miss that point."

"Hi Lynne, I too am a huge Bronte fan. I don't see too much activity on this discussion. Perhaps we can change that. What is your favorite Bronte story?  Mine of course is Jane Eyre. To me that is the perfect Christian romance."

Only a tender-hearted Father  would urge me to release the emotional pain of losing my first child to adoption by encouraging me to write. A few years later He encouraged me to share the healing that I'd experienced with others through the writing of fiction. Only a God whose heart is full of compassion would…
